We all love seeing Mickey and the gang but there are some characters you just don’t see as often, which makes us Disney fans always on the hunt for these very rare characters. Finding the elusive characters is like hitting the jackpot! Lets take a look at some of the rarest characters and how to find them!
Flikk & Atta- If your favorite Disney movie is Bugs Life and you've probably been out of luck with finding them in the park, but not anymore. You'll find them in Animal Kingdom twice a day for around 30 minutes. They are apart of the Dinoland Dance Party. They wont stop for pictures or autographs but they will dance around with you which is the perfect opportunity for a picture!
The Seven Dwarfs- These lovable characters are nearly impossible to find them around the park. You may see one or two of them together but never all seven! But you can be sure to see them two times a year in Magic Kingdom. One being Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You will not find them all together anywhere else!
Robin Hood- The anti-hero from the Sherwood Forest is hard to find in Walt Disney World, but he has been spotted from time to time so it's not impossible! The best way to find him is during Fantasmic's Character Palooza in Hollywood Studios. This event is very dependent on the weather but when they do come out to the anxious Disney fans its at the gate near the Tower of Terror exit. This event is unpublished so there is usually no lines!
Pocahontas- Most hope to see her inside Animal Kingdom near the Discovery Trail, but she also has a scheduled meet and greet. There is a catch however, her meet and greet is very rare and is oddly scheduled. What I've heard is that if there is any slight chance of rain her meet and greet will be canceled. On the incredibly rare chance that there is a rain free day in Kissimmee Florida (Yes, Walt Disney World is in fact in Kissimmee) you will find her at her meet and greet by the Tree Of Life.
The Beast- Since Fantasy Land opened in Magic Kingdom, guests have had the chance to explore The Beasts castle while dining inside. With Be our Guest being one of the most popular dining experiences in all of Walt Disney World, getting a reservation here is very difficult. If you are able to get a reservation, you had a chance to meet The Beast! He doesn't come from table to table but he has a set area with a Photopass Photographer.
Brer Rabbit- To find this beloved character you need to be in Magic Kingdom at the right time. You need to be near Frontierland for the Frontierland Hoedown to find Brer and more of your favorite characters! Other rare characters spotted at this event include Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. Much Like the Dinoland Dance Party the characters wont be able to stop and take pictures like a traditional meet and greet but you are able to snap pictures of them.
Captain Hook & Mr.Smee- Seeing Captain Hook during shows and parades is pretty common, but to be able to pose and take pictures with the villain himself and his companion Smee is much harder. The only place to find these lovable guys is the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage which sets sail from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You will need to get a special ticket to be apart of this event which makes getting a picture with these two characters a challenge.
Pinocchio- Being one of the most loved characters in Disney history, you would think seeing Pinocchio around the parks wouldn't be that uncommon, but sadly that is not the case. It is nearly impossible to find Pinocchio and his friends Gepetto and Jiminy Cricket walking around the park. If you do see them its usually sporadically at Hollywood Studios’ Character Palooza or Epcot’s Character Training Spot. He does not have a scheduled meet and greet in any of the parks so a picture with him is nearly impossible!
